Dr. Mike received his undergraduate degree in International Business from Pepperdine University and worked as a Personal Banker for a year before deciding to switch careers into Optometry. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University College of Optometry in 2016, and as a student held leadership rolls which included being elected as his class’s Curriculum Representative two years in a row, and served as Vice President of the Optometric Private Practice Business Club (OPPBC) for two years in a row.

Dr. Mike’s 4th year rotations included LASIK Plus in Taylorsville, UT, the Colorado Springs VA Hospital, Denver Medical Hospital, and Case Western Reserve Hospital in Cleveland, OH. These sites gave him top-tier training and experience in medical optometry, which included co-managing patients with LASIK, cataract, and retinal surgeons, treating glaucoma, treating eye infections, treating Dry Eye Syndrome, diagnosing and managing certain neurological disorders, co-managing diabetic and hypertensive patients, prescribing soft, hard, and specialty contact lenses, orthokeratology, and providing pediatric vision and ocular health care.

The excellent curriculum of Western University combined with his 4th year rotations has allowed Dr. Mike to have already seen over 1,000 patients. This experience, combined with an unhinged passion for helping people improve their quality of life, is what drives Dr. Mike to provide outstanding care to all of his patients.

Dr. Mike will be leading the expansion of PAJE’s contact lens division, adding support for specialty contact lenses such as scleral contact lenses, used for the management of keratoconus and other corneal dystrophies, hybrid lenses, myopia control contact lenses, and colored contact lenses.
